Period American full leather bindings, smooth spines, elaborate gilt spine decorations, gilt title and compartment decorations, covers outline gilt ruled.
Some cracking to front joints, but covers well and firmly attached, leather remains supple. Small chipping at spine ends. Overall, bindings remain clean, tight and sound. Interior contents show moderate age spotting throughout.
Any age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive.
Handsome set with fine age patina and shelf appearance.
