(pair of mid-18th century vue d'optique prints).

Issued c. 1760-70,likely Paris or France .

A pair of nice mid-18th century copper engraved nautical view prints. With original hand color, the black border also done close to date of issue by early owners who used the prints as they were intended for.

Almost folk-art in appearance.

Depicts active scenes of dozens of people at work building ships, moving luggage & cannons, and more.

Image displays typical signs of handling and time (given these views were intended to be handled, this is normal), but still displays a fine patina and visual appeal. The video captures the appearance and any repairs done on the back.
