The History of New England in Two Volumes, by Daniel Neal, A.M.
1720-1747, London, A. Ward.
Complete set, preserved as a rebound married pair:
Volume one is a Second edition, publ. 1747.
Volume two is First edition, published 1720.
No map present within, originally issued with a map which by itself is now worth much more than the price of this set.
Both uniformly rebound c.40 years ago in plain brown cloth in unsympathetic but functional bindings which now allow the pair to be read, browsed and consulted for the next 200+ years.
Text blocks neat and tight, normal light toning and inoffensive scattered small spotting, each volume complete internally.
Important and well known early 18th century English books relating to seacoast New England in North America; scarce set in any pair of original early editions.
Books measure: 7 3/4" H X 5 1/4" W.
Set along the shelf measures: 2 1/2".
