Beautiful mid-18th century set of eight volumes, complete. Full polished calf leather bindings, spines ornately gilt decorated with contrasting gilt title labels, dates stamped at spine bases, boards outline ruled in chain gilt rule.
All title pages with fine engravings, smaller woodcut ornaments throughout.
Bindings remains sound and tight, surface scuffing and rubbing, surface crackling to leather board surfaces, but gilt remains bright and handsome in appearance. Pleasing set with nice age patina.
