Issued c.1850's, likely east coast U.S., anonymous.

Beautiful mid-19th century lithographed print. With lovely original hand color.

Exceptional image depicting Presidential and statesmen busts set on a table amidst 3 lovelymaiden women, two of which are bare-breasted! Columbia, Indian princess & seated goddess of wisdom & learning amongst books. Traditional eagle seen beside the beautyiful Columbia woman. George Washington stands above it all, row of facsimilie signatures down one side of the rock monument.

A genuine marvel of near miniature work, executed at the highest possible level of technical skill. The busts are realistic and nuanced, the facsimilie signatures brilliantly accurate, the seated goddesses each exceptional in their own manner, the coloring superb, an exceptional image. From a very rare and little known source.

Great visual manner of depiction, utterly unlike anything produced today.

Clean, well-preserved, fresh-looking example.
