There are numerous variant versions of this map, this J & W imprint only occuring briefly between c.1862-66. With fascinating details, including gold and silver mines, many types of Indian tribes, mail route used by stage coach and pony express, the still proposed RR route, emigrant roads, early exploration trails and routes by fremont, Parke, Whipple, etc.
Light uniform paper age toning, original fold line, light age spotting and surface soiling, nothing offensive, nice visual appeal. An attractive American map produced during the Civil War.
