The endpapers, page borders, chapter heading illustrations and typography all combine to create a work of superior historical merit. The lightly glossed paper, the attention to design, the large chapter heading illustrations and fine printing methods employed create a substantial, oversized, coffee-table format volume. The binding and contents are a work of art.
