Late 18th century engraved map emphasizing the voyages of Capt. Cook. The three voyages are shown by different types of tracks, extensively dated along the way for each. Other recent voyages are also shown.
Note how Van Diemens island is shown attached to Australia, the Nile in Africa originates from two mythical lakes in the central interior. A River of the West cuts across North America to the Pacific Ocean
Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, some extraneous fold-lines as often seen on folio sheet folding maps of this era, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
