3 volumes, each c. 500 pages. Text in English. 

Publisher's cloth bindings, gilt title lettering, embossed spine & cover decorations. Still "unopened" as issued, meaning many gatherings are still joined and must be easily opened using a letter opener of clean butter knife.

Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Set is not new or in "new" condition.

Bindings gently age worn as always, rear lower corner of first vol. cover with some old minor discoloration damp staining, mostly light minor signs of careful handling and time but nothing offensive or severe, set remains overall attractive on the shelf.

Paper is gently toned, still clean, tight, sound internally.

The set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws which may be present appear to us easy to overlook or forgive.
