The literary giant of magazines, with some of the finest writers of the era. A quick internet search would reveal which authors appeared in which issues in this lot. Within is seen a nice assortment of hundreds of World War II -era urban lifestyle advertisements as well, including numerous/many color ads throughout. Includes the final year of the war as well as the first year after it ends, when the physical size of the magazines jumps noticeably.

Nice WWII-era American magazine with pleasing visual content. Issues included in this lot: January 20th, March 31st, July 7th, & November 24th, 1945; March 9th & May 25th, 1946. All appear to be complete as if untouched for the past 75 years.

Bindings remain overall clean, tight, and sound, various mostly small and minor signs of age, time and handling, spine stress marks on most, covers all present very well, more than acceptable, nothing offensive or major. Overall a nice looking lot, all worthy of being collected or given away as gifts to literary friends.

Small age flaws or defects include possible random old creasing, edge chipping, small light old staining, etc. Overall entirely acceptable example of what is likely a scarce survival. The pictures give a very good sense of how the item survives.

Virtually all periodicals of this era are somewhat scarce today as loose complete issues. Like most random survivals of old periodical printing, any specific example (like this one) is likely among a relative handful still extant. As each decade goes back from 1950, the rate of scarcity for any specific magazine or paper item increases noticeably.

Text block remains overall clean, and displays a pleasing age patina.

Magazine remains attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
