A book sold only by subscription in a variety of bindings, this one the "Edgewood Edition", being a more decorative binding than typical example.

Publisher's decorative cloth binding, gilt title lettering & pictorial cover decorations, embossed pictorial cover designs. Subscription edition.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding gently age worn, light dustiness and soiling, signs of handling but nothing offensive or severe, remains overall attractive as an object.

Paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
