4 volumes bound in 2, each c. 450 pages. Text in Spanish. With 20 lithographs interspersed throughout.

Very rare illustrated Mexican imprint in any condition.

Old Mexican antiquarian 1/2 leather bindings, raised bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather labels, marbled covers.

Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. 

Bindings heavily and well age worn but still appealing, first volume well scuffed & rubbed with heavy chipping and wear to leather, set remains overall very attractive as an object. 

First volume lacks the first title page and preliminaries and opens to the first text leaf (three other title pages still present).

Text block paper is well uniformly age toned as typical, various stains and spots from browsing seen throughout, couple ink marks, internally books remain mostly tight and sound. 

Still attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
