Attractive and uncommon antiquarian 1/2 leather bindings, raised bands, gilt compartment decorations, gilt title lettering, marbled covers.

Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. 

Bindings age worn but still appealing, small chipping to spine heads, leather and joints slightly scuffed in spots and a bit rubbed but leather remains still supple, set remains overall very attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently uniformly age toned as typical, internally books remain clean, tight and sound. A set which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new.

Still attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
