6 odd volumes, each c. 400 pages. Text in English. Each volume illustrated throughout.

Attractive antiquarian 1/2 leather bindings, slightly raised bands, gilt title lettering, marbled covers. Sold primarily as inexpensive shelf decoration.

Lot is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Volumes included in this lot: Newcomes volumes I & II (lacking vol. 3), Yellowplush, Vanity Fair volumes I, II, & III (includes Lovel the Widower).

Bindings gently age worn but still appealing, leather and joints slightly rubbed but still supple, lot remains overall very attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently age toned as typical, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new.

Still attractive on the shelf. Lot displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
