Scientific themed map produced in Germany midlle years of the 19th century. In bottom corners are corss section diagram comparisons of mountain height with the New World and Old. These include Bolivia, Quito Mexico within South America as well as the Alleghanies in North America (but with no indication of the Rockies, Alaska, California mountains, etc.). Lower right names Himalayas, Caucasus, the Alps, Scandinavia, etc.

In nice condition, minor light surface age wear and toning or small spotting as typical, minor foxing in the blank margins, overall the image is clean, well preserved and very attractive.
